The rejection to the parliamentary proposal of extend tertiarization of the labor force to all activities and services in Brazil has mobilized unions and social movements in the 27 states of the country.

This was another day of protest against the project, aimed at extending soibcontracting to all sectors and the final activity, which would lead to the extinction of permanent contracts, said yesterday a Workers Central Union (CUT) spokesperson.

During the demonstrations, roads were blocked, public transport and subway services were interrupted and some schools did not open in several cities.

CUT leader Vagner Freitas used the opportunity to ask President Rousseff to veto the proposal, currently under discussion in the National Congress, arguing that it violates the workers rights.

While speaking at a demonstration yesterday in Sao Paulo, Freitas said that the initiative constitutes a new way of labor exploitation.
